Midland Rottweiler Club. Temperament Assessments 2019

The Midland Rottweiler Club held their Championship Show recently and as always included Temperament Assessments.
.
The assessor this year was Robert Brown. Robert has been an associate trainer with Delta One Canines for 20 years. He is also the senior instructor at B.A.G.S.D. Coventry and is a full member of B.I.P.D.T. He was assisted by Anne Henwood also an associate trainer with Delta One Canines, a B.A.G.S.D. instructor and associate member of B.I.P.D.T.
.
Sixteen handlers and dog successfully completed the assessment which included exercises such as being approached by a fluorescent clad individual wearing a crash helmet and swinging a football rattle, being in close proximity to cars, people and other dogs, and being followed by a pushchair containing a crying “baby”.
.
The successful entrants are to be congratulated, as are Midland Rottweiler Club for continuing to promote temperament assessments for their breed. Perhaps other breeds should follow their lead?
